It’s a moderate hike, taking about 1.5 hours to reach the top, but active hikers can continue towards Praia Brava, Ponta das Canas, or Cachoeira do Bom Jesus for a bigger adventure. Plus, you’ll have the chance to explore a hidden cave — a magical experience few visitors ever discover!
If the weather cooperates, you’ll witness some of the most dramatic landscapes in all of Santa Catarina State. And for the dreamers: this is one of the only two places in all of Florianópolis where you can see both the sunrise and sunset from the same spot — perfect for camping or a memorable BBQ!

A scenic and moderately challenging 1.5-hour hike through nature, streams, and the occasional wild animal sighting. You’ll also pass small caves and incredible viewpoints along the way.
Reaching the top of the trail, you’ll be rewarded with stunning 360-degree views of the entire island and beyond.
Take some time to explore the cave, enjoy the views, and take photos. Your guide will share fascinating stories about the area and nature.
Head back down to Praia Ingleses Norte, either by the same route or if you’ve opted for an extension, start your next adventure.
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Continue to Praia Brava, Ponta das Canas, or Cachoeira Do Bom Jesus Leste – Enjoy 1 to 6 additional hours of hiking, depending on your choice.
5:00 AM: Meet at Praia Ingleses Norte – Early start to witness the spectacular sunrise.
5:00 AM - 6:30 AM: Hike to the viewpoint – In the cool morning air, hike towards the summit.
6:30 AM - 7:00 AM: Sunrise at the viewpoint – Enjoy a peaceful, serene sunrise, capturing beautiful photos as the island wakes up.
7:00 AM - 7:30 AM: Explore the viewpoint – Enjoy the peace and beauty of the landscape before descending.
3:30 PM: Meet at Praia Ingleses Norte – Gather for the sunset hike.
3:30 PM - 5:00 PM: Hike to the viewpoint – Hike up in the late afternoon, with the sun warming the path.
5:00 PM - 5:30 PM: Sunset at the viewpoint – Experience the breathtaking sunset, watching the sky change colors over the island and the ocean.
5:30 PM - 6:00 PM: Camp setup (optional) or relax at the top before heading back.
The hike is of moderate difficulty. It takes about 1.5 hours to reach the viewpoint, but it can be challenging for beginners. The terrain can be rocky, and the trail may include some steep sections. For experienced hikers, there are extended routes you can take, leading to Praia Brava, Ponta das Canas, or Cachoeira Do Bom Jesus Leste.
Yes, if you are an active hiker, you can choose to extend the trail for an additional 1 to 6 hours, depending on which direction you take. The normal trail takes approximately 1.5 hours to reach the top, where you can enjoy the 360-degree views of the island and the surrounding areas.
Weather can affect the tour, especially with cloudy skies or rain. We recommend checking the forecast and booking the tour with flexibility for rescheduling. If the weather is poor, we may have to reschedule the tour to another day, and we offer full refunds for such cases.
